Clues of 2013 (2)
3 January, 2014
More beautiful creations to savour, and solve. All up, seven fine clues drawn from the previous year, most from The Times unless otherwise declared. Clue (5) must go close to being clue of the year. It’s a zinger. While I nominate (4) as the toughest of this batch.
Dislike assembling parts? Don’t go there! (4) [Paul]
Dawdle round smallest room, going back for potty (8)
A feature film about a factory worker (9)
French noble to put in unusual bar in Paris, for example (8)
Over fifty, unsettled and single (5-4)
Risk holding onto reserve when stock prices are falling (4,6) [Paul]
Presumably just too odd samples of wine, rice or fine red (6)
CAN YOU CRACK THESE?
LAST POST SOLUTION: (1) Troll, (2) abeyance, (3) as keen as mustard, (4) reserve, (5) wash, (6) trophies, (7) peroxide blonde
