Singular Scrabbling
13 August, 2013
Still stuck on the single-point letters of Scrabble. In case you don’t know precisely which letters apply, here’s the gang: AEILNORSTU
To enter this week’s Storm, using an alias derived from those letters, you need to compose a clue for seven-letter word of one-pointers only (like UTENSIL, or NESTLES). And a clue for a phrase, or name, or proper noun where only singles are enlisted. Candidates include LAST IN LINE, or TELSTRA, or LIONEL ROSE.
To make the Storm a greater diversion, let’s hold back our answers, and see whether others can solve our work. (So number your clues, beside your alias.) By Thursday arvo, between 2-6, submit your best from each category, with answer and working provided. Then submit your votes via email on Friday before 6, with 3/1 for each category. And may the LEAST SO-SO be the OUT-N-OUT STAR! Let’s roll.
